Dr. Jacqueline Watford-Foster serves as the Zebulun District Association President, as well as, the recording secretary for the Women’s Auxiliary. She is a certified teacher and member of the board of directors for the Connecticut State Missionary Baptist Convention Christian Leadership School.
While volunteering at a community hospital, she found her secular passion for developing programs, and supporting, counseling, and strengthening families.
With God's help and her mother's prayers, she completed her graduate studies, and went on to work as a medical and psychiatric social worker for several years, before beginning her career in state government. Today she is a licensed graduate social worker, with over twenty five years of experience developing and running statewide programs and initiatives, as well as, providing counseling, training and advocacy services to children and families. She was also blessed to be a licensed foster parent for several years.
While she is grateful for her secular career, Dr. Watford-Foster has always felt the handprint of God on her life, and has been active and committed to ministry on both the local and statewide level. She has been an active member of Zion First Baptist Church in Middletown Connecticut for many years. She served as a Sunday School Teacher and as the Director of Women's Ministry Programs for several years. She also served on the executive committee, pastoral search committee, and choir.
Dr. Watford-Foster is a licensed social worker, and holds a certificate in Clinical Pastoral Counseling. She gives all praises and honor to God, understands that all blessings come from him, and believes all things are possible through him. She is also grateful to her family, church family, and convention family for their love and support.
